The 'Occupational Safety and Health Act' was first introduced in 1984 and has been supported by other legislation around specific health and safety measures related to mines and petroleum.
The Work Health and Safety Act 2020 has replaced all of these and bring WA workplaces under a single Work Health Safety Act from March 2022.
